More Examples of Physical Barriers

In this grocery store, the cigarettes are kept high above the counter. This is a good example of using barriers to obstruct potential offenders. The case is clear, so people can see the merchandise, yet only very tall customers can reach them. Most people can't reach them unless they go behind the counter. This extra level of protection keeps these cigarettes safe from casual thieves.
