In this store, printers are kept in a locked glass display case. Does this make sense? Do these printers have a high "value-per-pound"? Maybe, but the boxes are so big it is impossible to hide them under a coat or inside a purse or shopping bag.
This store may have a problem with people stealing printers, but it may have more to do with procedures at the point-of-sale or store exits.
If you ran a computer store, wouldn't the space in this display case be better used for small, expensive things, such as zip disks, certain software and printer cartridges? |
