These three pictures show how EAS tags are attached to merchandise.

These small plastic tags are often attached at the factory or by the product's distributor (it's called "source tagging"). They can save you a lot .f time. These sweaters have EAS tags placed where the customer can see them. If people can see the tags, they probably won't try to shoplift the garment. This sweater also has a noticeable tag. Clerks will remember to remove the tags if they see them, preventing any embarrassment to customers who set the alarm off because the tags weren't removed from their purchases.
