Formal

Examples of formal surveillance would be:

Informal and Natural Surveillance

Examples of informal and natural surveillance would be:

  • Employees, neighbors, and people going about their everyday activities
  • If your business is visible to the neighbors, they can provide surveillance
  • A well-maintained area so there is an unobstructed view of your business from the surrounding area

REMEMBER: It is important to have the street address clearly marked and visible, so that if there is a problem the location can easily be easily identified.
