Receiving

The receiving process can be broken down into nine steps. You can click on a particular step and read what we have to say about it, or start at the first step and work your way through! The choice is yours.

Inbound trucker calls for an appointment for the delivery and gives information about the cargo.

Receiver gets the Advance Shipping Notice and compares it the information given by the trucker.

Trucker arrives and is assigned to a specific receiving door.

Seal is inspected and broken.
5
Load is inspected and refused or accepted.

Merchandise is unloaded.
7
Unloaded merchandise is counted and given final inspection.
8
Damage to the unloaded merchandise is recorded.
9
Merchandise is put away into its proper place in the warehouse.
