How Businesses Can Work Together to Fight Graffiti

What do clothes hangers...
cockroaches...
mushrooms...
and graffiti have in common?

If you leave them alone, they multiply overnight! Read on for some ideas on how businesses can work together to fight graffiti.

  • Meet with other business people in your area. Work out a plan to clean up exisiting graffiti and keep the area clean of it in the future. Here's what retailers are doing in San Diego and Brisbane, Australia.
  • Donate your time and effort to clean up graffiti in the neighborhood.
  • Ask local schools, churches, and youth groups to help you clean up graffiti.
  • Organize schools and local artists to paint murals on vulnerable walls. Graffiti vandals don't often paint on murals. Besides, it's hard to see graffiti on a multi-colored background.
