They Steal Directly From the Store

Another technique used by the dishonest deliveryman is to steal directly from the store. This is usually done through swapping. The deliveryman says he is swapping some of the outdated goods, but in reality he returns fewer new goods than he takes out. The merchandise that he swaps is, naturally, not outdated but perfectly good. He may even take out good merchandise, and replace it with outdated goods from other stores. In this scenario deliverymen count on the store employees not checking what is taken out and brought back and in what quantities.

Deliverymen may also shoplift or steal merchandise directly from your stockroom.
